On an amazing Friday night in the NBA, the Boston Celtics defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in an overtime suspense thriller, introducing a number of players into the MVP discourse of shows who backed up their claims.

The Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks 122-113 on Friday night, with Dennis Schroeder scoring a season-high 38 points, including eight in overtime, as they took advantage of Giannis Antetokounmue's absence.

Boston has won four of its last five games after starting the season 2-5. Jason Tatum has 27 goals and 11 rebounds.

Antetokounmpo was removed from the NBA Finals MVP around 90 minutes before the game due to a right ankle sprain. Jason Tatum challenges the defense in the Celtics' win over the Bucks. The NBA champion Bucks' Johnny Holiday had 17 points and 13 assists, while Bobby Portis had 22 points. Grayson Allen tallied 21 points, including a pair of 3-pointers in the final 73 seconds of regulation to force OT.

When the Celtics came back from a four-point deficit to a seven-point advantage in the third quarter, Robert Williams III had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Marcus Smart had 12 of his 19 points. 

Boston, though, required overtime to secure the victory and improved to 6-6 on the season, while the defending champions fell to 6-7.

Stephen Curry (Performer of the Night):

With his former college coach cheering on Davidson, Stephen Curry made nine three-pointers and scored 40 points, and Draymond Green put in another all-out effort as Golden State won their eighth straight game.

After entering the game with worrisome bruising in his left thigh, Green contributed nine points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Golden State improved to 11-1, ending an eight-game losing streak for the Warriors. 

Coach Bob McKillop of Davidson's Curry College got his team in shape by exercising at the Warriors' facility ahead of Saturday's matchup versus San Francisco at Chase Center.

The Bulls were led by Zach Lavigne's 23 points and Demar DeRozan's 18 points as they fell to Golden State for the ninth match in a row. 

Harden dominates as the Nets beat the Pelicans:

As Brooklyn rallied to beat New Orleans with a 21-point lead, James Harden had 39 points and 12 assists, including a 27-foot shot and three-pointer with 29 seconds left.

Kevin Durant scored 28 goals for the Nets, who have won seven of their past eight games, while Joe Harris scored 24 for the Pelicans, who lost their ninth straight game after opening the night with his first seven shots, including six from three.

For the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas had 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Nickel Alexander-Walker had 16 points and Graham Devonte had 14 points.

Score late dart with thunder screech after kings:

Lou Doors stole the ball from Deacon Fox and drove it to Sacramento, where he took a corner kick with 1.7 seconds left.

Buddy Hield, a former University of Oklahoma player, missed a triple-pointer at the buzzer that he would have won for the Kings.

Thunder came back from an 18-point deficit in the second half to win their fourth straight game. Durt and Shay Gilgus Alexander each scored 22 points, while Darius Bazley chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds.

For the Kings, Harrison Barnes had 21 points and Richawn Holmes had 16 points and 15 rebounds. They're the ones who have dropped four games in a row.

The Suns win the seventh game in a row:

Phoenix dominated Memphis for the fifth straight win, with Devin Booker and Jay Crowder each scoring 17 points, and Chris Paul adding 15 points and 12 assists.

The Suns, the defending Western champions, dominated the game throughout and were never late because to Michael Bridges' 13 points. From the late portions of the first quarter to the completion of the game, Phoenix led by double digits.

Memphis was led by Ja Morant, who had 26 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, while Garen Jackson Jr. had 19 points. Only 7 of 33 3-point tries were made by the Grizzlies, who shot 38 percent.

Bridges and LaMelo help the Hornets get past the Knicks:

Miles Bridges scored 24 points, Lamelo Ball had 17 rebounds, 12 points, and nine assists, and the Charlotte Hornets beat the New York Knicks despite a 16-point deficit early in the game.

Terry Roser scored 18 points and Gordon Hayward added 22 points and seven assists for the Hornets.

Kemba Walker scored 26 points on 9 of 19 shooting for the Knicks after scoring a touchdown against his former team. They were defeated in five of their seven games.
